How much does chamber of commerce software cost?
MemberIQ costs $4,500 per organization per year, with no setup fee, no migration fee and no MemberIQ surcharge on payments (Stripe's own processing fees still apply). Competitors range from published per-member rates to no published price at all: GrowthZone, the company behind ChamberMaster and the most common chamber platform, lists no prices.

Here is what each vendor's own pages said when we checked. Where a figure is not published or not in our sources, the table says so; ask that vendor for a written quote.

What should a chamber budget for besides the license?
The subscription is only one line. A fair comparison adds up everything a chamber pays in the first year and every year after.
- The license
- The yearly or monthly subscription. Check how it is counted: one price per organization, per member, per contact in your database, or by your revenue. A per-contact price grows with every event attendee and prospect you add, not just paying members.
- Setup and onboarding
- A one-time fee for configuring the system and training staff. Some vendors publish it, some quote it, some charge none.
- Data migration
- Moving members, businesses, payment history and events from your current system. Ask whether it is included, charged separately, or handed to a partner firm, and who checks the result.
- Payment processing
- Your processor’s card fees, plus any surcharge the software adds for using your own processor or its built-in one. Ask for both in writing.
- Your website
- Some platforms include a public website; others expect you to keep a separate site and builder, with its own hosting, domain and upkeep.
- Add-on modules
- A member app, a report builder, extra email volume or integrations can be separate line items. List the modules you actually need and get a price for each.
- Staff time
- The cost that never appears on an invoice: hours spent learning the system, cleaning data, reconciling payments and working around what it cannot do. For a chamber with a small team, this can outweigh the license.
How do I compare chamber software quotes fairly?
- Ask for a first-year total and a second-year total. Novi Core, for example, is $13,548 in its first year and $9,948 a year after that, because onboarding is charged once.3
- Ask what the price is counted on. WildApricot counts every contact in your database, including event attendees and donors who are not members; ClubExpress counts members, with a lower rate for secondary members.10,7
- Ask how the price has moved. WildApricot's 500-contact plan was $110 a month in January 2022 and $154 a month when we checked in September 2026, a 40% rise.11,12,5
- Ask about contract length. MemberClicks says its typical contracts are for one year, with multi-year contracts at a discount.2
- Ask for the payment surcharge, if any, in writing, separate from your processor's own card fees.

Is the cheapest chamber software the right choice?
Not always, and sometimes yes. By their own published prices, WildApricot, ClubExpress and StarChapter can cost a small organization less than MemberIQ's $4,500, and each has a comparison page that says so. Setup fees, payment surcharges and add-ons narrow that gap where they apply, and per-contact pricing can reverse it for a larger chamber: WildApricot at 5,000 contacts is $5,820 a year on monthly billing, or $6,984 with the 20% fee.5,6
Budgets are tight across the sector. In MemberIQ's 2026 report on chamber software, the median of the 4,038 chambers it matched to an IRS Form 990 reports $240,861 in revenue, and 1,328 of them report under $150,000. It depends on your size and how you take payments. For a small organization, WildApricot, ClubExpress and StarChapter all publish prices that can come in under $4,500 a year. WildApricot is $1,848 a year at 500 contacts on monthly billing, before its 20% fee if you use your own Stripe or PayPal. StarChapter adds a setup fee of $1,169 to $2,635. Novi Core, by contrast, is $13,548 in its first year with onboarding.
Do chamber software vendors charge setup fees?
Some do. From their own pricing pages: Novi charges $3,600 for onboarding on its Core tier, StarChapter charges $1,169 to $2,635 on its standard plans, and ClubExpress charges a one-time setup fee. WildApricot says it has no setup fees. MemberClicks does not list implementation fees on its pricing page. MemberIQ charges no setup or migration fee.
Does taking payments cost extra?
Card processing always costs something: Stripe, PayPal and other processors charge their own fees. The question is whether the software adds a surcharge on top. MemberIQ adds none. WildApricot charges a Payment System Servicing Fee of 20% of your plan when you use your own PayPal, Stripe or Authorize.net account in the U.S. or Canada.
