MemberIQ vs WildApricot for a chamber of commerce

WildApricot starts at $66 a month for 100 contacts on monthly billing, and a small organization that sets things up itself will pay less there than here. For a chamber the arithmetic changes in three places: what you pay to use your own payment processor, what you pay as your contact list grows, and how the price has moved.

Why chambers look elsewhere

  • WildApricot charges a Payment System Servicing Fee equal to 20% of your plan when you take online payments through PayPal, Stripe or Authorize.net. It applies to accounts in the U.S. and Canada.1
  • Its pricing page lists no per-transaction fees and describes the other payment options as carrying "an additional fee"; the 20% is paid to WildApricot, on top of your plan.2,1
  • WildApricot prices by the number of contacts in your database, not by paying members. Its help center says "Everyone in your WildApricot database is a contact": members, event attendees, donors, and contacts who are none of those. Archived contacts do not count toward the plan limit.2,3,4
  • At 5,000 contacts on monthly billing the plan is $485 a month ($5,820 a year); with your own Stripe the 20% fee makes it $6,984 a year.2,1
  • The 500-contact plan was $110 a month in January 2022 and $140 in June 2023; it is $154 a month today, a 40% rise.5,6,2

Where WildApricot is genuinely good

  • Price for a small organization: $712.80 a year at 100 contacts and $1,663.20 at 500 contacts, prepaid. Even with the 20% fee, a 500-contact organization pays well under $4,500.2,1
  • Built-in payment processing through Personify Payments. The billing policy applies the 20% servicing fee to accounts that use PayPal, Stripe or Authorize.net. Its member app on Google Play was last updated September 16, 2026.2,1,7
