MemberIQ vs ClubExpress for a chamber of commerce
ClubExpress is priced openly, per member. For chambers of up to 1,000 members, its published rate for primary members comes to at most $3,600 a year (1,000 members at 30¢ a month), against MemberIQ’s $4,500. That is before its charges for secondary members (14¢ to 20¢ each a month), the one-time setup fee and add-ons. We would rather say so up front. What follows is how its price is built, so you can compare like with like.
Why chambers look elsewhere
- ClubExpress publishes per-member pricing by size: 42¢ per member a month up to 200 members, falling to 30¢ at 501–1,000, with a $24 minimum monthly hosting fee. Above 1,000 members that page gives no rate; it says only that the price per member goes down as an organization grows.1
- For a chamber of 734 primary members that is about $2,642 a year (734 × 30¢ × 12), before the 14¢ a month it charges for each secondary member, the one-time setup fee and any add-ons.1
- Its custom report builder is an optional module: $200 a year, or $300 with report scheduling, according to ClubExpress’s user manual (copyright 2004–2023).2
- A webmaster reviewing ClubExpress on Capterra in May 2026: "The biggest issue I have found is that custom pages cannot be modified on a tablet."3
Where ClubExpress is genuinely good
- Price: about $2,642 a year in hosting for a chamber of 734 primary members, against MemberIQ’s $4,500. That is before secondary-member charges, setup and add-ons.1
- Reporting: a custom report builder, with optional scheduling, for $200–$300 a year. MemberIQ has fixed standard reports and CSV export, and no report builder.2
- A free mobile app for members, and 517 reviews on Capterra averaging 4.2.4,3
